Ky-Mani
Ky-Mani Marley was an extremely popular Reggae Singer for many years. Born in Falmouth Jamaica, he was one of the wealthiest and most popular. He was in Shottas together with another vocalist Wyclef. Ky-Mani signed with Shang Records in 1996 where he released his first album Like Father Like Son. He recorded a variety of singles including Judge Not with Patra and Dear Dad (which reached the highest position on the British Reggae Charts) as well as How Does The Cap Go remix and Sensimelia. Each of these songs contributed to his growing popularity with the young generation of reggae artists. Ky-Mani was also a part of Praswell and Fugees (as part of Avenue), a popular cover version by Eddy Grant called Electric Avenue came out in 1997. Marley was a guest in Midem (international music showcase) in the year it was held in Miami in the very first time. Marley presented a show at the Cameo Theatre which was live broadcasted to 36 other countries. Marley was involved in a bidding battle. In
