The film was hit on the box office and was the second-highest-grossing movie of 2008. Anushka was seen along with Shahid Kapoor and Vir Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 movie "Badmash Company". The film was met with mixed praise. Anushka was an Punjabi girl from the middle class in the movie known as 'Band baaja baaraat. Anushka was in the film with Ranveer. The film was an unexpected success and was praised by the critics. The contract of Anushka's for three films under Yash Raj Films was completed with the Band Baaja Baraat.
